When did NFPA-20 first require a fire separation for the pump room?

i have very old existing fire pump in a large room with other equipment. Current NFPA-20 requires a fire spearation for the fire pump room, and it can only have domestic plumbing in the fire pump room (a nod, I believe, to the idea that fire water & domestic are often run into the building right next to each other, if not combined). So now does my very old pump room require a new fire-rated wall and door assembly, or can I keep to the code from when it was installed? And did the NFPA -20 code require a fire separation when it was installed? When did NFPA-20 first require the fire separation?
