Hello every body, we have a client project proposal study for Wireless (WiHART) Fire & Gas Detection systems, I look at NFPA 72 and its only defined wired system fire and gas.
Does anybody knows where we can find a code that defines also Wireless Fire and Gas Systems?
Thanks
REUBEN
Hi Reuben,
Gas detection system HART, normal measurement current as 4-20 milliamps for gas detectors. Wireless HART port, intrinsically safe gas transmitters are align with ISA 12.13.01 Performance Requirement for Combustible Gas Detectors and UL-2075 standard for gas and vapor detectors and sensors.
You could also refer ISA (Instrument Society of America) RP12.13 (part II) and ISA-RP12.1-1960, "Recommended Practice for Electrical Instruments in Hazardous Atmospheres.".
Hope that's helpful.
Thanks,
Sourabh
