Does a combination automatic sprinkler and standpipe system consist only of (A) a sprinkler system and (B) a Class 1 standpipe? Can it consist of a sprinkler system and Class 2 standpipe?
NFPA - 13 (A.22.214.171.124), NFPA - 14 (A.6.3.5 a & A.6.3.5 b) says about the combined sprinkler / standpipe system.
Yes you can combine sprinkler system with class - II standpipe, in align with a discussion / approval from local AHJ.
Or you could go ahead with class - III system (11∕2 in.(40 mm) hose stations to supply water for use by trained personnel and 21∕2 in. (65 mm) hose connections to supply a larger volume of water for use by fire departments).

The sprinkler system size, based on the requirements and the standpipe based on hazard and other credentials to look in.
You could combine or you could have a different individual system, such as standpipe and sprinkler wet riser or dry system.
The size of the system shall be prescribed, in accordance to approval of local AHJ as follows:
a. Wet riser for sprinkler system - demand
b. Drain riser
c. Standpipe system - demand
d. Hazard criteria - fire control approach
e. System working pressure (static & residual)
f. Travel distance
g. Water demand in worst case scenario
h. Fire department response (in case of fire)
i. Area of floor
j. Hose stream demand
k. Sprinkler system demand
l. Water supply requirements
