Breaching Fire Doors

I am looking for code reference pertaining to fire doors.  Specifically, at what point during a fire event or fire drill can a fire door be opened to allow for staff to move through the building to assist as needed at the location of the fire.  Our building if fully sprinkled and we currently teach that once the fire is "contained" then you can breach a fire door.  Having difficulty find a direct reference to this in the various NFPA codes (72, 80, 99 & 101).

Thank you,
