Question – Can a suspended ceiling be an acoustic ceiling? It could be monolithic if it was clipped down, correct? Thanks!
To me, a suspended ceilings are secondary ceilings suspended from the structural floor slab above, creating a void between the underside of the floor slab and the top of the suspended ceiling.
To me, an acoustical ceiling is a ceiling covered with or built of material with special acoustical properties. Suspended ceiling can be built of material with special acoustical properties.
To me, if the ceiling can be disassembled such as a grid suspension ceiling it is not monolithic.
