Hello to whoever reads this and can respond. We have a large wood chip conveyor at our facility. It currently has an interlock in place that stops the conveyor whenever the fire system to the conveyor is activated. I believe this is a necessary safety feature which would hopefully stop the fire from spreading and allow enough heat to then operate the sprinkler and put out the fire. I have had some challenges recently with some people wanting to remove the interlock. Is the interlock an NFPA mandate if so could someone point me to the right Code or any other reference material that could be helpful.
Thank you for your time,
