We have a wood frame construction, 2 story high, non-sprinklered building here in town that was built in 1980. It consist of the following occupancy's on the first floor: Business, Place of Assembly < 300, and Mercantile. The second floor consists of 9 apartments.
The POA<300 is doing a renovation. I am unsure if the building is separated or not. If is is not, does the NFPA code require the owner to separate all occupancy's below from the apartments with the appropriate separation?
