Firstly, I am in Puerto Rico. I've searched the Codes but can't find an applicable one for this situation. We have a restaurant and want to have a gas operated outdoor grill. It will be sitting in an outdoor, open air annex of the restaurant made of 10' tall concrete walls. No public access - totally secured. No other appliances around. The inspector says we have to install a ventilation hood with fire suppression system. Is this an NFPA code? Thank you very much.
