A quick search on the "Definition" of Invasive Procedures gave me this for you to think about my friend.
"invasive procedurelisten(in-VAY-siv proh-SEE-jer)A medical procedure that invades (enters) the body, usually by cutting or puncturing the skin or by inserting instruments into the body."
Based on the explanation given in the Informational Note to the definitions in 517.2 I would be forced to agree that indeed Critical Care (Category 1) as defined would include liposuction. Sadly, I know of stories where folks have died during this "invasive procedure".
