Hi its Istiaque from bangladesh. Building Type: Industrial; ready-made garments and in there garments printing will be accomplished. There are some printing machine that produce heat. we plan to use heat detector. is it right?
I don't know the details of your building or what the regulations in Bangladesh are like. The IBC and NFPA 101 generally don't require smoke detectors in break rooms in industrial buildings.
Excerpt from the 2015 NFPA 101, Life Safety Code:
220.127.116.11.3* In assembly occupancies with occupant loads of more than 300, automatic detection shall be provided in all hazardous areas that are not normally occupied, unless such areas are protected throughout by an approved, supervised automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 9.7.
If the dining area has and occupant load over 300, then the processing use areas must be protected in accordance with Section:
18.104.22.168.2 Rooms or spaces for the storage, processing, or use of materials specified in 22.214.171.124.2(1) through (3) shall be protected in accordance with one of the following:..........
And, an automatic detection system in accordance with Section 9.6 when a approved, supervised sprinkler system was not installed throughout the building. The automatic detection systems are to be designed and installed per Section 10.4 of the 2013 NFPA 72.
Thanks a lot for your email
