I'm looking for some help, I have all basic calculations done. The total General Lighting Load, Fixed Appliances, Dryer, cooking equipment, HVAC loads,etc. I need to find the largest motor load and cannot use the A/C system as a motor load. Does not have a heating system either. I also need to find the Total Demand. Using only the standard method, not the optional method.

General Lighting Load = 11,400VA

Small Appliances = 4,500VA

Laundry = 1,500VA

Demand Factor

First 3,000 VA @ 100% = 3,000 VA

Next 14,400 VA @ 35% = 5,040 VA

Add the 3,000 VA to 5,040 VA

Total = 8,040 VA

Fixed Appliances

1,200 VA + 1,200 VA + 28,000 VA +1,500 VA = 31,900 VA

Demand Factor

31,900 VA @ 75% = 23,925 VA

Dryer = 5,000 VA

Line = 5, 000 VA Neutral 3,500 VA 70% applied to neutral above

A/C = 3.5 Ton. 240 V, 17.9 A, Air Handler 3.3 A

240 V × 17.9 A = 4,296 VA

240 V × 3.3 A = 792 VA

Add those answers together

5,088 VA
