Are there guidelines in NFPA on wind sock for use in an industrial emergency response setting?
Example: to indicate the wind direction for safe approach or escape during release of toxic gas
How do you select which wind sock features are important:
- Visibility e.g. color, stripes, size, installation location
- External or internal lighting for nighttime emergency
- Material e.g. durability, weatherproof, ease of installation
Are there guidelines in other fields e.g. aviation, that can be referred?
