I am trying to apply Table 130.7(C)(15)(A)(a) of NFPA 70e to my scenario.  I need to open hinged covers on a control cabinet to reset faults on VFD's occasionally.  These control cabinets usually have 480V covered distribution blocks, combination over current and overload devices, VFD's, PLC's, relays and various terminal strips.  However I have no remote capability to reset faults on these VFD's. So...Do I have to "suit-up" to push buttons on the face of an AC drive?  Am I "working on" the face of these AC drives?  This issue has been a thorn in our side for a long time.

Also, if nobody here can help me with this issue, does anybody know who I can contact to get an official "ruling"?

Thanks guys for any help you can offer.
