Colleagues, hope all of you are well,

According to table 8.6.1 of NFPA 25, in case of replacement of a power monitor, I shall "Perform six operations of the circuit breaker/isolation switch disconnect (cycle the power on/off)".

Usually, power monitors are powered by separate automatic breakers connected to control circuits power supply grid (say, 220 V DC or so) and position of contacts of the main circuit breaker has no any influence on the monitor. Can anybody explain me, why should I close and open the circuit breaker six time having the isolation switch disconnected?

Kindest regards,
