How is the main steel structure exposed to air can be protected from fire in high-rise buildings? For example Eiffel Tower, does the steel structure in Eiffel Tower has any kind of fireproof paint?
I would much appreciate your valuable discussion.
Exterior intumescent coatings are used in heavy industrial environments or when steel is located on the outside of a building and still needs a fire rating.

Thank you Milton. The document is very helpful.
Do you know what kind of fire protection material used in Eiffel Tower for the external structure steelwork?
The Eiffel Tower was built around 1887 - 1889. The tower is composed of puddling iron, not steel. Total 7,000 metric tons of puddling iron, which were the precursor to construction steel, was used. Puddling was the process of converting pig iron into wrought iron.
The Tower has been re-painted 18 times since its initial construction, an average of once every seven years.
Was this historical structure a building or tower in the 1880s? Tower.....
At the end of the 18th century the fireproof structure emerged. This consisted of an internal skeleton of cast iron columns and beams with brick or stone vaults between the beams.
