I have a light tower and emergency stop button mounted 50 ft from the system enclosure.  The current for the light tower is 300mA at 24VDC.  I want to use a 20 AWG multiple conductor cable in a raceway to connect the light tower and button to the system enclosure.  NFPA 79 12.6.2 states control circuit conductors shall not be smaller than 16 AWG in a raceway and 18 AWG when using multiconductor cable. NFPA 79 12.6.4 states conductors for electronic control input/output and control devices shall not be smaller than those permitted in 12.6.4.1 and 12.6.4.2.  12.6.4.1 states conductors installed in raceways shall not be smaller than 24 AWG. I am not sure what the distinction is between 12.6.2 and 12.6.4.  Does my circuit meet 12.6.4 criteria?

Thanks in advance for you help.
