hi everyone, I am new to the field and i need your advice. i couldn't find a rule of addressable fire system in NFPA 72, where does require to install "addressable fire system" and "conventional fire system" ? where can i find the rules?
I will give you three driving forces:
The contract you go by
The AHJ rules
The system you are trying to install
Mainly the LOCAL AHJ, they require the type of FA system required and to be mentioned in the shop drawing which is to be submitted for their approval for construction. As I understood, there are countries where addressable systems are not mandatory.
Dear Friend normally the NFPA request listed system, and now they define the wiring for each class of panel Addressable or conventional
AHJ requires a FA system which is required as per complaince with NFPA 72, moreover its AHJs power to decide whether the system to be installed in a particular occupancy should be Addressable system, conventional system, C,COnventional Panel interfaced with a main addressable panel or Standalone Battery Operated Etc.
Wiring Classes are different from the types of system varieties that you asked. Many of the addressable FA systems are preffered to be installed with Class A wiring (Class B also Possible) and Conventional Devices with Class A and Class B depends on the system.
