Hello I was wondering if there are any standards or procedure modifications for conducting fire drills to comply with covid-19 protocols for schools that are returning to campus in the fall. Thanks
More than likely case by case.
Keep social distance, and take a little more time. Main goal get out of the building.
If they go back to school, movement around the school will more than likely be like a fire drill, just with out the fire drill.
See this very similar thread: Fire Drills for Elementary Schools in COVID-19
We have directed that all fire codes are still being followed and enforced during Covid (yet we must adapt and overcome). Therefore, schools will still need to perform fire drills with social distancing rules. This may very well be the new norm as fire is indiscriminant.
