Air Pear System Shut Down?

Question asked by stephen.rinaldi on Oct 17, 2020

Requesting information about potential problems with fire suppression systems and the use of  Air Pear systems installed in large open buildings. I feel that the destratification could cause a delay in fire sprinklers activating as well as the system can cause horizontal fire spread and could overrun the suppression systems. I feel that the electrical circuits will need to be tied to a the Fire Alarm and or duct detectors to shut down air movement when fire is detected. These ceiling mounted units are plugged into an outlet and are not controlled with the duct detector operation of shut down of the HVAC. I have not found any information regarding these in the code or from the manufacturer that requires shut down.
