Hi everyone, i need an answer to the following question ASAP please.
- The maximum length of a threaded rod to support a hanging pipe (concrete or steel structure) according to the NFPA13 ?
Maybe there is not a max, as long as engineered, tested, and meets all other hanger requirements in 13
Looks like the testing takes it into account
Listing of Hanging and Bracing Components - Sprinkler Age
I would ask for the manufacture spec on the rod
To see what it says
Need to look at anchor and pull out, as already advised, check rod specifications for size. Use maximum weight based on local AHJ requirements; water fill might be accepted. Check seismic bracing requirements to restrict sway. A structural engineer should sign off.
